Biography:

Dáin Ironfoot is a significant Dwarf character from J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium, first appearing in The Hobbit.

He is the Lord of the Iron Hills and a renowned warrior amongst the Dwarves. A cousin of Thorin Oakenshield, Dáin leads a contingent of heavily armed Dwarves to the aid of Thorin's company during the Battle of Five Armies.

Known for his bravery and martial prowess, Dáin fights valiantly in the battle and ultimately becomes King Dáin II of Durin's Folk after Thorin's death. He later dies defending Dale during the War of the Ring. He is the father of Thorin Stonehelm.
